This tournament was established in 1966 as encouragement for matches amongst the lady bowlers of the district, specifically at the clubs of Lenzie, Westermains and Kirkintilloch. Provost Jenny Coutts donated a silver salver for the annual competition.
The Ladies of Lenzie were the winners of the Trophy in its first season. and since then honours have been well shared.
